This is my equivalent of scrap and doodling paper. So beware, I don't always think before I write.

The Abraham gang together in the kitchen for the last time. It was the scene of many chats, many bitching sessions, lots of dinners at the end of the day and the scene of our initial planning of the Tsunami event! Will we meet again?
man...it gets even worse, people have moved into both rooms...number 1 and number 4 will never be the same, and i'm stuck all alone in number 2...what'll I do with myself? no late night ice cream feasts with a pregnant Imelda, no bitching (and gossipping) sessions with you guys...no one trying to fix me up or debate about what kind of man I need...no one to boss me around...no one to bug to say "please"....no one to cook for....no one to have coffee with....I've become a pitiful recluse ;)
Okay, that last comment was pretty sad in the fullest use of the word sad....there's more than just those material things that I'll miss...two very special people who made up my 'Abraham family' here in Oxford. You have Mother, who was my best friend here, was so intent on finding me the right guy, loved me enough to tell me when I was wrong, and still make me feel good in the end of things...someone who included me in something so precious as the birth of her son. Imelda and I hit it off the first day we met. Then there's hm...let's see...what did Jul and I call him (behind his back ofcousre)..."little old man" ;) hahaha, but that turned into 'bhaiyah" (explanation: said little old man was always telling us,"(dramatic sigh)...oh you're so young"...so naturally we called him grampa). Anyways, that was Saranya...always looking out for you, offering great bits of wisdom, not afraid to enter a kitchen full of ladies and sit and chat with them (and join in ofcourse!)...he's the one who speaks sanity to us in the midst of our craziness...most importantly introduced us to G&D's :) It's not everyday you find two people you can pour out your heart to and who still love you inspite of you...who just seem to 'fit' together...that was us. That was the Abraham gang...that's what was so special about us...an Indian doc, an Indonesian mom, and a silly American kid ;)
Hey Kid, Cheer up! G&D's will be there when we come back to Oxford for our reunion!! Yeah, it was an odd gang especially if you include Ms. "I am kloot". But we enjoyed ourselves and had some great fun. The memories and snaps are all that remain, but what lovely memories!
